The Drum is a renowned news outlet for marketeers worldwide, however its current mobile application is not a solution representative of the organisations stature. Usability and navigation issues are a hindrance throughout, as well as a general lack of design consideration in the visual hierarchy leading to a less than engaging final product. Using the main core features of the existing app and merging this with other key sections from their website, I have designed an application that feels more considered, easier to navigate through and that gives the product a stronger and more engaging visual appeal than the current solution, while remaining true to the core brand of The Drum. The interaction prototyping you see on this page has been done in both After Effects and Principle.
